VANCOUVER - It's been a season of frustration for the Vancouver Whitecaps. Sunday's 4-1 demolition of Portland showed everyone what this Whitecaps team could have been capable of, but the consistency wasn't there and they failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2013.
Whitecaps defender Fraser Aird has had a particularly frustrating first season in MLS after finding himself in and out of the 'Caps' starting line-up, making only 18 appearances and failing to find the scoresheet or garner an assist.
It's certainly not the season he'd have hoped for when he came to Vancouver on a season-long loan from Scottish giant Rangers.
