Frank Gore intends to return to the NFL for a 16th season. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter he agreed to a one-year deal with the New York Jets.
Gore spent 2019 with the Buffalo Bills, running for 599 yards and two touchdowns while splitting time with rookie running backDevin Singletary in the backfield. He also passed Barry Sanders for third on the NFL's all-time rushing list with 15,347 yards counting.
In addition to his on-field role for Buffalo, Gore served as a mentor of sorts for Singletary.
