Former Wisconsin linebacker T.J. Edwards signed a two-year contract extension with the Chicago Bears on Wednesday. The deal is worth $10 million per year with $16.6 million fully guaranteed.
Edwards, a six-year NFL veteran, becomes the second former Wisconsin linebacker to receive a major payday this offseason. He and Super Bowl champion Zack Baun, who received a three-year deal from Philadelphia in March, will return to their respective squads for multiple seasons.
Following four seasons with the Eagles from 2019-22, Edwards has morphed into one of the Bears' most dependable defensive assets.
