Former Vanderbilt football player Cory Batey was convicted late Friday in his retrial on rape and related charges stemming from a 2013 on-campus incident, according to multiple reports.
A jury in Nashville found Batey, 22, guilty of aggravated rape, three counts of aggravated sexual battery, facilitation of aggravated rape and two counts of attempted aggravated rape, according to the Tennessean. The panel deliberated for 2 1/2 hours after hearing five days of testimony.
