Basketball games at Flint (Mich.) Northwestern High School in the late 1990s were an aberration for games on the high school level. Crowds reached maximum capacity so often that tickets had to be raffled and were often scalped for up to $100.
On occasion, the Flint fire marshal was called to turn people away.
