Former soccer player Hiannick Kamba found alive four years after he was presumed dead

Hiannick Kamba, who was reported dead after a car crash in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2016, has been found alive. That revelation was reported by German newspaper Bild, which discovered Kamba has been working for a German energy company.

Kamba, now 33, was once a promising prospect for Bundesliga side FC Schalke 04. In 2016, however, it was reported he had been killed in a car crash in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where Kamba was from.

Kamba clarified what actually happened, telling a German prosecutor he was abandoned by his friends, who took his documentation, cell phone and money.
