Former Saints five-time Pro Bowler Terron Armstead has chosen to call it a career

An illustrious career officially comes to an end for former New Orleans Saints left tackle Terron Armstead. The five-time Pro Bowler announced his retirement after 12 seasons in the league on Saturday night.

Armstead, a third-round pick by the Saints back in 2013, was drafted with the 75th selection out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, a small HBCU program. After a year of development his rookie year, Armstead took over the starting job at left tackle protecting the blind side of a future Hall-of-Famer in quarterback Drew Brees. Armstead would stick around with the Saints for eight more seasons, starting a total of 93 games for the team.
