The customer is not always right, as those who work or have worked in the service industry know. Riddell Inc., America's largest football helmet distributor and official provider for the NFL from 1989-2014, is dealing with some unhappy customers who are both right and wrong.
Former Pro Bowl wide receiver Yancey Thigpen and 13 other former NFL players have filed a lawsuit against Riddell that argues the manufacturer failed to adequately warn athletes of personal and financial injury risk. That's fine [FINE?], but the helmet is not the lone culprit in the context of football's head-injury crisis.
