The Detroit Free Press published a detailed account of Jackson’s frightening ordeal, which included driving to different bridges looking for one to jump from.

“I squeezed it a little bit,” Jackson told the Free Press last week. “It was like, ‘OK, this is what asphyxiation feels like.
