Former NBA player Kermit Washington was arrested Tuesday in Los Angeles and faces multiple charges after he allegedly stole about $500,000 from charities meant to help the needy in Africa.
Federal prosecutors revealed the charges Wednesday, accusing Washington of interfering with internal revenue laws, conspiracy to commit wire fraud, obstruction of justice and aggravated identity theft.
