Former Jacksonville University receiver Rodney Sumter Jr. was among the 53 people wounded in the Orlando, Fla., shooting rampage that killed 50 nightclub patrons.

Sumter, 27, attended Nease High School in Jacksonville along with Tim Tebow, according to the Florida Times-Union. The report said Sumter worked as a part-time bartender at Pulse, the club where the shootings occurred.
Sumter reportedly was shot three times and had surgery Monday. A supervisor at another Orlando club where Sumter worked said he was wounded in the arm and back.
