Former Iowa State football coach and Oklahoma athletic director Donnie Duncan died Saturday night. He was 75 and had been battling cancer.
Iowa State announced the news Sunday morning. Duncan served as the Cyclones' coach from 1979-82, going 18-24-2 but beating rival Iowa three times in four tries.

He came to Ames from Barry Switzer's staff at Oklahoma after beginning his career as a Texas high school and junior college coach.
But Duncan's greatest contributions to college athletics may have come after he moved into administration.
