Former Indiana HS basketball coach arrested on sex crime charge

A former Indiana high school basketball coach was arrested Thursday on a federal charge related to an alleged exchange of explicit messages with a 15-year-old female student.

Kyle Cox, who coached at Park Tudor High School in Indianapolis, was charged with one count of coercion and enticement, the Indianapolis Star reported. The FBI and the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force carried out the arrest.

According to a criminal complaint unsealed at an initial hearing Thursday, Cox tried to convince the girl to meet him at the school to engage in sexual activity while his wife and children were out of town.
