McCormick died in his home in North Carolina after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease. The Giants paid tribute to McCormick on Twitter, calling McCormick a “forever Giant.”

McCormick spent 11 of his 17 seasons in the majors with the Giants. He posted a 3.68 ERA over 1,822 2/3 innings with the team.
