NBC may have found its replacement for Drew Brees.
Former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is reportedly a top candidate to replace Brees on NBC’s “Football Night in America” pregame show and on Notre Dame games this fall, according to The New York Post’s Andrew Marchand.
Garrett has been working with NBC on its coverage of the USFL this spring, and has been teamed up with Jac Collinsworth. The two could team up to call Notre Dame games for NBC this fall, per the report.
Brees worked both on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” pregame show and called Notre Dame games alongside Mike Tirico last year.
