Free-agent running back Karlos Williams, who last played for the Buffalo Bills in 2015, has been suspended by the NFL for at least one year.
ESPN's Field Yates reported Williams' suspension Wednesday.
Williams was a fifth-round draft pick by the Bills in 2015. He had a promising rookie season with 517 yards and seven rushing touchdowns on 93 carries in 11 games.
He was released by the team in August after showing up to training camp out of shape and being suspended four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
