Former Auburn, NFL linebacker Quentin Groves dies

Former Auburn star and NFL linebacker Quentin Groves has died at age 32.

Auburn.247sports.com reports Groves died while in Trinidad celebrating his daughter's birthday.

Groves, an All-SEC linebacker at Auburn as a senior, was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round (No. 52 overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. The linebacker/defensive end also played for the Raiders, Cardinals, Browns and Titans, appearing in 100 games. He finished his career in 2014 with 159 tackles, 9.5 sacks and two interceptions.

A Jaguars team statement Saturday recalled Groves's fierce competitive nature and friendly personality.
