Kevin Turner, a former Alabama and NFL fullback, died Thursday from his battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease, AL.com reported. He was 46.
Turner played eight seasons in the NFL with the Patriots and Eagles. He was diagnosed with ALS in 2010.

In 2012, Turner said he believes his football career was linked to his diagnosis of the motor neuron disease.
"I love football, always have, always will,'' Turner said. "I know that all these hits to the head have contributed to my diagnosis.
