For 600-mile race Sunday, rain just bad memory for NASCAR, Charlotte

Forget rain this weekend. Barring a dramatic change in the forecast, NASCAR's longest race will run on a dry track.

Sunday's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway won't be plagued by rain, a stark contract to the previous week's activities leading up to the Sprint All-Star Race.

In fact, every day leading up to Sunday's race will be dry. So NASCAR fans will get their fill of both Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series competition.
