DETROIT (AP) Christian Fittipaldi has been looking for some good fortune to help slow down Ricky and Jordan Taylor.
He might have just gotten a break.
Ricky Taylor crashed Friday, forcing IMSA SportsCar qualifying to be abandoned.
That sent him to the back of the 13-car field and gave Fittipaldi the pole for the Chevrolet Sports Car Classic. Taylor was treated and released from Belle Isle’s infield care center. He and his younger brother, Jordan, have won all four races for Wayne Taylor Racing this year and they will have to rally from the back of the pack to win Saturday.
