The 49ers' move to rebrand as younger, hipper and technology-driven as they relocated to a shiny new stadium had another component: age discrimination.
That's what the team's longtime on-field announcer claims in a lawsuit filed this week, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

When Bob Sarlatte was let go in 2014, the only explanation given was that the team was “going in a different direction.” He was 66 at the time and a 30-year Niners employee.
The lawsuit filed in federal court in San Jose, Calif.
