Peter Vermes hopes his young Sporting Kansas City charges can benefit from their early-season minutes, although he acknowledges results are a must now - starting against Chicago Fire.
Sporting KC have been missing key men for long stretches of the season and will again be without Alan Pulido, despite his return to form and fitness, due to international commitments.
That setback is likely to mean more opportunities for 18-year-old Gianluca Busio, while Jaylin Lindsey and Cameron Duke have also featured.
Vermes said "a lot of guys" have had "a fast and furious progression" in 2020.
The coach is happy to see such prospects involved yet is keen to ensure they know the standards required with Sporting KC third in the West.
