Fresh from his selection in the MLS Best XI, Diego Chara knows the Portland Timbers must replicate the form they showed in their impressive 2015 and 2018 postseason campaigns in order to succeed in the playoffs - starting against FC Dallas on Sunday.
Combative midfielder Chara made 20 regular-season starts for the Timbers, who finished third in the Western Conference this term, registering one goal and a career-high six assists.
Chara, who ranks highest for tackles won (735) in the league since his Timbers debut on April 23, 2011, was a key part of the Timbers team which won MLS Cup in 2015 and got to the final in 2018, while he was also integral to their success in the MLS is Back Tournament earlier this year.
