Monday was a good reminder of how much less the starting pitchers matter at Coors Field. The starters combined to go 13 innings and give up seven runs. Not great, but better than average at Coors. Then the Blue Jays bullpen came in and the Rockies stack blew up. Thankfully on Tuesday we have no such dilemma, because the starting pitchers are bad.
While I wouldn't say it's a must to play Coors in tournaments, it's the most likely path to success.
