The Washington Commanders have a plan for third-round pick Luke McCaffrey.
According to ESPN's John Keim, the Commanders "consider McCaffrey a slot receiver."
Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson will be the top two options in the passing game for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, while Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus and Jamison Crowder will all be fighting for a role down the depth chart.
Of that bunch, however, McCaffrey may have the upper hand. Brown has only registered 29 catches for 476 yards and three touchdowns in three NFL seasons. Zaccheaus only managed 10 catches for 176 yards and two scores in Philadelphia last season, his worst output since his 2019 rookie season.
