There is an angled chain-link fence atop the outfield wall at Wrigley Field. That protective basket did not prevent a fan from falling onto the field Thursday during a rain delay.
The fan fell onto the warning track around 8 p.m. ET, around the time the game between the Braves and Cubs was originally scheduled to begin. Medical officials immediately ran onto the field to tend to the man, who was lying facedown and nearly motionless.
Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. and pitching coach Chris Bosio also ran to the outfield to check on the man.
This guy just jumped the outfield wall and hasn't moved for over 10 minutes!
