THE WALLET IS unremarkable at first sight. It's a man's wallet, the kind of simple, black leather that's made well and lasts forever. Jeanie Buss likes it because it belonged to her father. But it's almost too big to fit in the small purse that the Lakers' controlling owner uses these days. "Well, my life needs to get smaller," she says with a wry laugh, recognizing the double entendre.
