It's hard to make a comparison this early, though Elliott is on pace to break Eric Dickerson's three-decade-old rookie rushing record.

And yet one of Smith's former opponents has seen enough and weighed in Monday.
"He's better than 22," former Eagles Pro Bowl linebacker Seth Joyner said of Elliott on WIP radio in Philadelphia, referencing Smith's old number.
