Jockey Kent Desormeaux, who won the Preakness on Exaggerator last month, has entered a rehabilitation facility for alcohol abuse.
Despite the rehab stint, don't count Desormeaux out for the Belmont Stakes on June 11.
The Hall of Fame jockey, 46, will still participate in the race as he continues his treatment, the Associated Press reported.
"It was time to take a sober look at my life and take this step," Desormeaux said in a statement.
Desormeaux is expected to arrive at Belmont Park in New York on Thursday to prepare Exaggerator for Saturday's race.
