Congress is the group that called out the NFL for interfering with a government concussion study it was supposed to have funded. Former tight end Ben Utecht thinks Congress could also be what finally fixes the problem the NFL created.
To him, nothing else has brought the league to its senses on player safety, especially concussions. That includes the National Institutes of Health study that, according to an ESPN report , the NFL worked so hard to influence that a congressional committee felt compelled to investigate.

“I hope that Congress comes to the aid of players," Utecht told Sporting News on Monday.
