Former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque helped detain a man who apparently was trying to abduct a 7-year-old girl Saturday in a Montreal park.
The CBC reported that Laraque was one of several players in a charity baseball game who came to the family's aid after the apparent attempted kidnapping of the young girl, who was with her parents in the popular downtown Jeanne-Mance Park.

According to police, the man allegedly walked up and talked to the girl before grabbing her and trying to walk away.
