Ex-Grizzlies coach Dave Joerger quickly becomes frontrunner for Kings job, report says

Dave Joerger’s stint on the NBA’s unemployment list may be a short one.

The former Memphis Grizzlies coach, fired Saturday morning, has quickly emerged as a front-runner for the Sacramento Kings' vacant job, The Vertical reported Sunday night.

The report said Joerger flew to Los Angeles on Sunday to meet with Kings vice president of basketball operations Vlade Divac and is expected to meet with team owner Vivek Ranadive on Monday. The report cites sources that indicate a three-year deal worth around $4 million per season will be discussed.
