When 49ers fullback Bruce Miller was arrested for assault on early Monday morning, the team wasted little time and announced they had released him after word of Miller's arrest went public.
Miller was arrested back in March of 2015 on suspicion of spousal abuse and looked like he could become the test case for the NFL's tough new policy against domestic violence.
Instead, Miller was simply charged with vandalism -- he smashed his girlfriend's phone against a wall -- and could not be charged with assault because she wasn't interested in cooperating.
