Cris Carter and Ray Lewis will no longer be a part of ESPN NFL coverage, according to The Big Lead's anonymous sources. Randy Moss, meanwhile, will reportedly take his talents to Bristol.
The assumed move further transforms ESPN's Sunday football coverage, following reports of Trent Dilfer's imminent departure, Mike Ditka's dismissal from the Countdown crew and the addition of recently retired Charles Woodson and Matt Hasselbeck.
Carter's departure probably represents the biggest blow from a broadcasting standpoint, even if Lewis's name inspires more immediate volatility and controversy. Carter — a Hall-of-Fame wide receiver most known for his time with the Vikings (eventually alongside Moss, his apparent replacement) — joined ESPN in 2008.
