Eddie Einhorn, who dramatically changed the way college basketball is broadcast and later became a minority owner of the Chicago White Sox, died Wednesday of a stroke at age 80 in Alpine, N.J.
"Eddie was a creative whirlwind whose ideas — many of them far ahead of their time — changed the landscape of sports forever," White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf said Thursday. "It is exceedingly rare in this day and age to have enjoyed a friendship and a working partnership that lasted our lifetimes."
