Eastern Michigan students protested during and after Friday night’s football game against Wyoming in reaction to racist graffiti being sprayed on campus and what the students deem inadequate response by the university, according to media reports. By all accounts, the protest was peaceful.
Graffiti discovered on a campus building read “KKK” in red, white and blue lettering, as well as a phrase including the N-word, CBSSports.com reported . That graffiti was quickly removed, but another racial slur was later written on the stairwell at a campus dorm.
