When Cooper Robb suited up for Eastern Kentucky’s basketball game against Georgia State, it may not have been in his plans to be the game’s hero.
But the basketball gods were working in Robb’s favor on Friday night. Eastern Kentucky (2–2) was trailing Georgia State by two points after Panthers’ Dwon Odom missed the second of his set of free throws with 5.4 seconds remaining in the game.
After Robb secured the rebound, he drove the basketball up to near half court near when he heaved a last-second shot that didn’t even graze the rim, giving EKU the 62-61 win in dramatic fashion.
