As the East Coast prepares for the potential arrival of Hurricane Joaquin over the weekend, the NFL is putting in a contingency plan for Sunday's game between Washington and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported the NFL plans to give both teams a Week 4 bye and make up the game in Week 8 if inclement weather makes travel infeasible. Philadelphia is scheduled to travel to the Washington area Saturday, so the NFL will likely have an official decision in place by then.
