Eagles Reportedly Tried to Reacquire LeSean McCoy in Jordan Matthews Trade

The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly angled for a reunion with running back LeSean McCoy prior to the 2017 season.

According to the New York Daily News' Manish Mehta, Eagles Vice President of Football Operations Howie Roseman "tried to get McCoy back in a deal with Buffalo through back-channel intermediaries" in exchange for a package of players that included wide receiver Jordan Matthews.

However, Roseman wasn't able to swing the trade and shipped Matthews and a 2018 third-round draft pick to Buffalo for cornerback Ronald Darby.
