Dwight Freeney's trademark spin-move plays on with pass-rush needy Falcons

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — When it comes to spinning, the resident DJ for Atlanta Falcons training camp practices has nothing on Dwight Freeney.

For 14 seasons, Freeney has created his own beautiful music with one of the most iconic pass-rush moves in NFL history. The band will play on in 2016 now that Freeney has signed a one-year contract with the Falcons.

Deacon Jones, who was arguably the greatest pass-rusher of all time, deployed the now-banned head slap to topple offensive linemen in the 1960s and 1970s. Reggie White used the “hump” — a clubbing forearm blow — to knock tackles off-balance in the 1980s and ’90s.
