There was a time, about five years ago, that Dwayne Bowe seemed to be on his way to perennial stardom. A Pro Bowl season in 2010 that included 1,162 yards and 15 touchdowns naturally led to such a projection.
And despite a steady drop in Bowe's production over the next four seasons, the Browns signed the wide receiver to a two-year deal worth more than $12 million ($9 million guaranteed) before the 2015 season.
Zero starts in 16 games and five catches for 53 yards later, Bowe is the latest person to follow coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer out the door of executive VP Sashi Brown's freshly-renovated house.
