Drivers offer up their take on the ‘encumbered’ win rule

TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Joey Logano suffered the wrath of the dreaded "encumbered" win rule following his victory last Sunday at Richmond International Raceway.

Although Logano was allowed to retain his win in the record books, it will not count toward making the playoffs and he has lost the five bonus playoffs points that come along with it.

A day after NASCAR handed down the penalty to the No. 22 Team Penske group, multiple drivers offered up their take on the rule Friday at Talladega Superspeedway:

Elliott was hesitant to really comment on his opinion of the rule because, frankly, he's still struggling with the definition of the term.
