Vernon Adams has all the confidence in himself a starting NFL quarterback would ever need. But that confidence hasn’t blinded him to what he actually has to overcome to become one.
Adams made that clear after his tryout at Washington’s rookie camp last weekend, when he was asked if, after all the attention paid to him as a senior transfer at Oregon and at the February combine, he was surprised everybody passed on him in the draft.

“I know everybody talks about how short I am and everything like that, so I wasn't surprised at all,’’ he said.
