Washington has been burned by running backs before.
Back in 2012, Alfred Morris may not have had quite the rookie hype of quarterback Robert Griffin III (few do), but his numbers and exciting, drive-sustaining bursts led both to a Pro Bowl nod and to a lot of Washington fans believing he was one half of a dynamic duo. Neither player is doing much of anything in his new 2016 home after subsequent years of disappointment in Washington.
With Robert Kelley bursting onto the scene in Washington this year in similarly surprising fashion, it’s worth asking whether he’s running down the same road as Morris or whether he’s actually worth all this hype.
