The Seattle Mariners have acquired veteran catcher Carlos Ruiz from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Jon Heyman reports.
Ruiz will be 38 next season and just experienced his first few months away from the Phillies. After 11 years and 3,884 plate appearances with the Phillies, the man we affectionately call "Chooch" was dealt to the Dodgers in late August. Now he's on the move again.
Ruiz hit .264/.365/.348 with eight doubles and three homers in 233 plate appearances during the regular season.
