Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier will miss more than two months with a fractured right tibia after fouling a ball off his shin, the team announced Tuesday.
The injury occurred last Friday and initial X-rays were negative. The two-time All-Star was still dealing with pain over the weekend and required crutches to get around. The team scheduled a follow-up CT bone scan for Monday. The scan revealed the fracture, which will be able to heal without surgery, but the expected recovery time is 10-14 weeks.
