While it remains to be seen how the injury will affect his performance, a recurrence of Aaron Rodgers' torn Achilles is unlikely to happen for the New York Jets quarterback, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini.
Cimini spoke with Dr. Stephen Silver, the chief of sports medicine and orthopedics at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, who put the odds of another Achilles tear at two percent.
"I do not have any worries or issues about him returning to play quarterback this season," Silver said. "... At this point, my worry is more, not only about Aaron Rodgers, but anyone who wants to play in the NFL at 40 years old, turning 41.
