Ever since Blake Griffin broke his hand punching a Los Angeles Clippers equipment manager in Toronto, there has been speculation that the Clippers may look into trading him. Once Griffin is cleared to play, the team has already suspended him four games without pay and even decided to withhold pay for a fifth game. But there won't be further punishment outside of that.
And Doc Rivers said there won't be a trade involving Griffin, either. Rivers addressed the media Tuesday and told them the Clippers aren't trading their All-Star power forward. Despite rumors of the Clippers "needing" to move Griffin after this HR nightmare, it doesn't sound like it will happen.
