Demetrius Pinckney, the brother of Thunder guard Dion Waiters, was killed in early March. His death was investigated as a homicide by Philadelphia police.
Pinckney was one of six people who died in Philly that night, and it's a troubling trend, especially for Waiters. The Philadelphia native knows about street violence all too well. Before he was 16, two of his cousins and his best friend were gunned down in the streets. He nearly met the same fate.
