The Philadelphia Eagles released linebacker Devin White, the team announced on Tuesday.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles explored trading White in the preseason but never found a deal for him. ESPN's Tim McManus reported that White and Philadelphia agreed to a deal to release him now rather than at the trade deadline when he'd be subjected to waivers.
The former Pro Bowler signed with the Eagles on a one-year, $4 million deal in March, but never recorded a snap for Philadelphia before his release.
